I have been playing guitar and bass for over 15 years, which has been a remarkable and rewarding musical journey. After teaching myself for seven years, I decided to attend the Atlanta Institute of Music from which I graduated with a performance-based scholarship.
My own approach to learning has helped me to teach students from all various backgrounds as I am able to adapt my lesson plans to accommodate either a more classical or more colloquial approach to relate the material to each student effectively.
My lesson plans are structured around the goals that students set for themselves, which I then show them how to achieve in a practical manner. This is a great life skill that will extend even beyond music. The only goals that cannot be reached are the ones you tell yourself repeatedly "I can't", which is the only real barrier to learning and creating.
