Diana Mounce is very excited to be teaching at The Harmony House! Diana has an extensive background in voice and piano. Diana was admitted on a Vocal Scholarship to Oakland University where she studied voice under the direction of John Paul White, Jr. and Thomas Marsh. She continued her studies after moving to Atlanta, with Melissa Ellen of Jan Smith Studios. Wanting to broaden her improvisational skills, Diana is currently a student of jazz pianist, Beth Waller.
For the past 3 years, Diana has been teaching children's group piano lessons in private centers throughout Metro Atlanta. Diana studied piano as a child and young adult and then moved into offering private instruction several years ago while also teaching a children's theater program through Romeo Parks and Recreation.
Diana is the former lead singer for "The Zoots and The Swinging Suits", an Atlanta based swing band (where she met her drummer husband, Steven) and a back-up vocalist for "LB Collective". She is in her 11th season with "Like The Dickens", a professional a Capella caroling company (www.likethedickens.com), has been a praise and worship leader for Northside Christian Church, and most recently, Diana has been performing as a solo act around Atlanta. Diana and her family live in Acworth.
