Sarah is a 2020 graduate of Berry College. Her bachelor's degree is in Music Education, under the tutelage of Dr. Lauren Denney Wright. She was the principle clarinet player for the Berry College Wind Ensemble, the Berry College Orchestra, and briefly, in the Berry College Jazz Ensemble. She has also played clarinet and bass clarinet for the Berry College Theater Program in productions of Urinetown and The 25 Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. As a music education major, she took methods classes learning all brass, woodwind, string, and percussion instruments. She is certified in Georgia to teach K-12 music classes, primarily instrumental.
Sarah has taught general music education to K-8th students the last two years. She has also taught elementary music in Ecuador, entirely in Spanish. Sarah has previously taught private lessons at the Darlington School in Rome Ga, as well as many sectionals at local schools in Floyd and Cobb County. Sarah is bright and energetic and loves working with students with diverse learning needs. She is very passionate about music education and creating equal opportunity access to it.
