Stephen Hare grew up in church and has served in various capacities of ministry for almost forty years. He has had the opportunity to lead, sing, and play music most of his life. Stephen started singing at home and church with his family at a very young age and is grateful for the heritage of godly service and music that has been passed down from several generations. With a church background, Stephen has led numerous choirs, youth and adult, ensembles, praise and worship teams and small orchestras consisting of vocalists and musicians.
He started playing the trumpet at age twelve and continued playing throughout middle school and high school. During that time, he participated in chorus, vocal ensembles, jazz bands, dramas, plays, musicals and other platforms including state and district chorus, concert bands and jazz bands. He continued to pursue his musical career in college. He was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga. He studied band and chorus with a focus in trumpet and voice while working towards his B.S. in Music Education.
Since high school and college, Stephen has had the experience of playing and singing in community concert bands, jazz bands, cover bands, and contemporary Christian and worship bands. He has also been involved in recording and studio session work vocally and instrumentally. In addition, he has done sound and lighting set up and DJ work for various live events.
"I have always been taught to honor God with the gifts and talents He gives to us by giving back to Him and the community. Taking time to invest in people and recognize their value produces a trusting relationship in helping others move forward in life’s journey. The hope is to help equip someone to do the same."
